The thematic scope of the Master is the aquaculture and focuses so that students can opt for the career opportunity or research. It is organized from three universities (UPC, UAB, UB) taking advantage of their complementarities. It is necessary to get professionals in the sector with a high scientific level, with a multidisciplinary technical domain, they can assume leadership and management and are able to focus on the sustainability of the company and the sector in the long term. This involves developing the right skills to carry out research, development and innovation, both in business and in the public sector. It is expected that aquaculture, industry and associated services to grow at European level in the coming years. The areas in which the graduate may work are: aquaculture production in different levels of responsibility, creation of new firms, consultancies (in Catalonia, national or European), development of international projects, industries directly related to aquaculture -such as the production of feed, medicines and vaccines for fish-fish processing, marketing, pharmaceuticals, and in various government and research departments in the company and in the public sector.
