(BITI), based in Minneapolis, MN, is a full service Geographic Information Solutions (GIS) company with products and services that assists its' clients with improving their businesses. Our focus is to bring quality products to market that meet the processing and analytical needs for those industries that utilize GIS information.

In February 1996, BITI was formed by a group of employees from its predecessor company, DataMap, Inc. As part of an employee buyout of selected assets, BITI was formed to carry on the development and support of a large banking and custom geographic analysis customer base. Its products and services were developed under the guidance of Gary Mertz while President of DataMap. BITI’s employees, that are instrumental in the development and support of its products and services, transferred from DataMap to continue with the development and support of the customer base and products for BITI.
